Inside a conversation

Once you’re in a chat room, here’s everything you can do: Caption: A chat conversation showing messages, reply threads, and the message input area at the bottom

Sending messages

Type your message in the input field at the bottom and press Enter to send. That’s it — simple and instant.
Messages appear in real time. As soon as you send something, everyone in the room sees it immediately.

Replying to a message

Want to respond to a specific message? Use the reply feature to keep conversations organized.
  1. Hover over the message you want to reply to
  2. Click the Reply button
  3. Type your response — it’ll be linked to the original message
This is especially helpful in busy group chats where multiple topics are being discussed at once.

Editing a message

Made a typo? Said the wrong thing? You can edit messages after sending them.
  1. Hover over your message
  2. Click the Edit button
  3. Make your changes and save
You can only edit your own messages, not other people’s.

Sharing files

Need to send a document, image, or file? Use the attachment button next to the message input.
  1. Click the attachment icon (or drag and drop a file into the chat)
  2. Select the file from your computer
  3. Add an optional message and send
