How roles work

Every member of your organization has a role. A role determines what that person can see and do — from viewing events to managing the entire organization. Think of roles like keys to different rooms. Some keys open every door (Admin), while others only open specific ones (Viewer).

Built-in roles

Linebundle comes with three roles out of the box:
When in doubt, Editor is the right choice for most team members. They can create and contribute without being able to change organization settings.

What each role can and can’t do

Here’s a more detailed breakdown:

Custom roles

Need something more specific? Linebundle lets admins create custom roles with exactly the permissions you need. For example, you might want a role called “Event Coordinator” that can create and edit events but can’t manage spaces or organization settings.
1

Go to your organization settings

Navigate to your organization and open the settings or roles section.
2

Create a new role

Click the button to create a new role. Give it a clear name that describes what this role is for.Caption: The create custom role form with name field and permission checkboxes
3

Pick the permissions

Check the boxes for what this role should be able to do. You can mix and match — give them access to events but not spaces, or materials but not contacts.
4

Assign it to members

Once created, you can assign this custom role to any member of your organization, just like the built-in roles.
Custom roles are great for larger teams where different people have different responsibilities. For small teams, the built-in Admin, Editor, and Viewer roles are usually enough.
