What is a space?

A space is like a folder for your community. It’s a container where you group together everything related to a topic, project, team, or purpose — events, documents, people, and more. For example:
  • A “Marketing Team” space might hold your campaign events, brand assets, and team contacts
  • A “Summer Festival 2026” space could contain all the event details, flyers, vendor lists, and venue info
  • A “Book Club” space might have your monthly meetup events and reading lists

Why use spaces?

Without spaces, everything would be one big list. Spaces let you slice and organize your world however makes sense to you.

Spaces can have sub-spaces

Spaces aren’t flat — you can nest them. A sub-space lives inside a parent space, letting you organize things in layers. For example:
  • Summer Festival 2026 (main space)
    • Stage A (sub-space)
    • Stage B (sub-space)
    • Vendor Area (sub-space)

Public vs. private spaces

Every space has a visibility setting:
Start with private spaces while you’re setting things up. When you’re ready to share, you can publish the space and share a link with the world. Learn more in Publishing Spaces.

What you’ll find inside a space

Each space gives you a structured view of everything it contains:
