When to create a new organization

You already have a personal workspace from when you signed up. But if you want to collaborate with other people — your team, your community, your company — you’ll want to create a team organization. A team organization lets you:
  • Invite members and control what they can see and do
  • Share spaces, events, and documents across your team
  • Keep everything organized under one roof

How to create an organization

1

Go to Organizations

Click Organizations in the sidebar, or use the quick search (Cmd/Ctrl + K) and type “organizations.”Caption: The Organizations page showing the list of current organizations and the Create button
2

Click Create New Organization

You’ll see a button to create a new organization. Click it to start the setup wizard.
3

Name your organization

Give your organization a name that your team will recognize — like your company name, community name, or project name.Caption: The organization creation wizard with the name field
4

Choose your plan

Select the plan that fits your needs. You can always upgrade later as your team grows.
5

Finish setup

Complete the remaining steps in the wizard. Once you’re done, your new organization is ready to go!Caption: The completed organization page showing the name, plan badge, and overview cards
After creating your organization, the first thing you’ll probably want to do is invite your team. Head over to Inviting Your Team to learn how.

Your organization overview

Once your organization is created, you’ll land on the Organization Overview page. Here you can see:
  • Your plan — which plan you’re on
  • Active members — how many people are in your organization
  • Visibility — whether your organization allows public content
  • Resources — what’s available on your current plan
