Starting a direct message
Want to talk to someone privately? Start a direct message:1
Go to Chat
Click the Chat icon in the sidebar.

Start a new direct message
Click the New Message or New DM button. Search for the person you want to talk to.

Send your first message
Type your message and hit Enter. Your conversation is now open — you can come back to it anytime from the rooms list.
Creating a group chat
Need to loop in multiple people? Create a group chat:1
Click New Group Chat
From the chat page, click the button to create a Group Chat.

Name the group
Give it a name that everyone will recognize — like “Event Planning” or “Design Team.”

Add members
Search for and add the people you want in the group.

Start chatting
Send your first message and the group is live. Everyone you added will see it in their chat.
Managing rooms
From the rooms list, you can:- Switch between conversations — Click any room to open it
- See unread counts — Rooms with new messages show a badge
- Update room details — Change the name or description of a group chat
- Add or remove members — Adjust who’s in a group chat
